Original Record

A somewhat blurry black and white photograph of a broken storefront window. Inside the window there is a pile of clothing displays stands which have been knocked over. No clothing appears in the display. The sidewalk is full of broken glass. A man in a porkpie hat and a dark suit is looking at the damaged window and looted display. A group of people appear blurry, as they move past the window.

During the riots that took place during the Boston Police Strike, crowds moved up and down Washington Street, and along Summer and Winter Streets looting and destroying property throughout downtown Boston.
